Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 (2010)

Hello there! I'm back, writing another review since I have lotssss of time to spend. Actually there are a few reviews I haven't publish, oh wait.. I lost them. Soooo now I'm writing about Harry Potter's latest movie. I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter since I never read Harry Potter's books. Well I did, once, but since my brother has the translated books (read: Harry Potter books in Bahasa Indonesia) only and I will never ever ever understand translated books, so yeah. Doesn't count.

As usual I don't write about what's the story, I'm afraid I'll spill everything here. Haha. (Exception for those who are fans of Harry Potter, you know the ending so shut up). I've watched all Harry Potter's movies, in my opinion, this is the best. Maybe because it's 2010 where technology is improving really fast than 6 years ago? Well I don't know, but I enjoyed every little scene of the movie. It's pretty dark and depressing (in my opinion) and I don't think it's suitable for kids. So please, people, don't bring your kids along. If you do, please make sure you watch it during their sleep time so they wont disturb the others! But I believe, this is not a G or PG rating, your kids wont understand the movie.

Well you see, the characters grown up, the audiences who have been following Harry Potter are not kids anymore, too. Besides, there's only little flashbacks given. So my suggestion is you have to watch the previous movie(s). Buuuut, thanks to my frrrriend Nadia who explained to me like.. most of the scenes. Lol. (and she told me the ending too when we were at 70% of the movie) but thanks to her I didn't get lost, she's a walking wiki of Harry Potter! Plus, she told me that the characters in the movie are (precisely.. well..) the 'same' as described in the book. So I believe it's a success, huh? :)

So in conclusion. I love most of the things in the movie, the places, the wardrobes (Hermione's and Fleur's wedding dress. PRETTY!! the decorations too!), the music scores, the effects, don't forget the animation when Hermione reads the story of 'Three Brothers'... awesome. And oh, in addition, my dear Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange.

Usually I complained about duration, but this time, I did enjoy two and a half hours watching this movie. Gonna re-watch this again, for sure! Well, four out of five it is.
