Review: Robin Hood (2010)

I was watching this movie with my campus-mates (errr...), planned to watch either Iron Man 2 (yes I haven’t watch the famous Iron Man 2, gosh!) or Robin Hood. So the one who bought the tickets chose Robin Hood since it is the latest movie. Though we all haven't watch Iron Man 2. Yadayadayada.

The movie is about this guy named Robin Longstride (and so he is the 'Robin Hood') who is an archer in the Crusade. Talking ‘bout Crusade, I keep on thinking, where’s Joan of Arc? Where’s Joan of Arc? Well she’s not there. Maybe in the different century or whatever it is, she’s not there. I don’t know, don’t ask me. I don’t know anything about history of England and France. Well I’m not a good story-teller so I guess if you wanna know the synopsis of the movie you could ask wikipedia.

The movie is quite boring, to be honest. Still don’t get what's the meaning ‘Robin Hood’, it is neither Robin's hood nor Hood of Robin nor the Robin Hood in green costume. Some of the scenes don’t make any sense to me, simply made the duration longer. Oh yeah talking about the duration, it is about 2 effin hours and my ass was so flat after that. Don’t bother to be afraid you’ll lose the best part of the movie when you have constipation or in the need to go to toilet. Well, I’m still looking for the best part of the movie. The part when Longstride says ‘I love you’ to Lady Marion is kinda disturbing, it would be better if he kisses her without saying the words. It’s quite awkward when I heard it, there's no such scene as look-at-his-eyes-he-falls-in-love-with-her. Furthermore, I think it would be muchhh better if it gives a little story about the orphans who live in forest. Please slap my face and tell me that I should make my own movie because I complained too much XD

I didn’t know that this movie is a prequel until I read arddhe’s review and I think he’s right about the cinematography, it’s great. You should read his review, sometimes I ask for his opinion about some movies before I watch it and warning, his reviews are brainwash-able. Haha. He didn’t pay me to write this. Overall, I give 2.5 out of 5, for the cinematography and Cate Blanchett.

Oh one more thing, I thought the one who play as King John was Russel Brand. Tee-hee!
